Les Farges mine is a famous deposit for pyromorphite, among the main modern classics for the species. It produced in a brief period between 1971 and 1984 an insane variety of crystal clothes, coming in a remarkable palette of colours.Here are vivid orange and glossy rounded crystals of 'campylite facies' pyromorphite on a baryte blade. All the faces of the baryte piece are coated with pyromorphite, the specimen is a floater. Ex collection Albert Chenavier, purchased in 1980.
