Description
Here is a ‘jaw’ of slightly smoky faden quartz from an uncommon locality in the Grande Rousses massif: the Couard pass. Notice the textbook preferential dissolution pattern on some faces of the quartz, revealing the internal Dauphiné-law twinning of the crystals. A very good locality specimen from Oisans. Discovery and ex coll. Bruno Hugon then L. Neyton
