Ex collection Edmond Diemer (Paris). Edmond Diemer (1929–2008) was an engineer at Schlumberger whose professional travels fueled a lifelong passion for exploration and geology. During the 1980s and 1990s, he joined Professor Théodore Monod of the Paris National Museum of Natural History in the rediscovery of the famous Libyan Desert Glass, a mysterious natural glass formed by a meteorite impact. Built over more than 30 years, his mineral collection brings together carefully selected specimens from around the world. The ensemble notably includes a beautiful and refined selection of thumbnail specimens!
